As we enter Holy Week, we step into one of the most sacred—and most challenging—times in the Christian year. This is the week that asks us not to look away from the painful parts of our story, but to face them with honesty and courage.
We are, of course, Easter people. We live in the hope of the empty tomb. We trust that love is stronger than death, that God’s grace has the final word. And yet, Holy Week reminds us that resurrection does not come without first walking through the valley of loss, betrayal, suffering, and grief.
If we rush past these days, we risk cheapening the joy of Easter morning. But when we allow ourselves to pause—to sit at the table on Maundy Thursday, to feel the weight of Good Friday—we begin to understand more fully the depth of Christ’s love and the power of resurrection.
So we invite you to make space this week. Come and remember. Come and reflect. Come and be present to the story of Jesus’ last meal, his betrayal, his trial, and his crucifixion.
And together, we will wait—not without hope, but with hearts prepared—to receive the good news of Easter in all its fullness.
